Steve has now won 4 A grade regional combine road races (kermeses) at Casey Fields from 6 starts. Saturday's race, hosted by CCCC was probably his finest victory at the cold and windy circuit yet. After making both the early 2 man breakaway and the late 2 man breakway (with different riders) and covering many of the other attacks, Steve somehow still had enough in the tank to convincingly win the bunch sprint.9 riders remained in the lead group heading towards the final corner when Steve went frigin BANG!! from second wheel and gapped everyone, taking a well deserved victory. Second place went to Justin Davis, and back a bit further were other riders such as Murray Spink, Matt Chessum, etc.
Steve won the race riding a Team Corsa Carbonio (pictured above) which was purchased from Le Tour Cycles (Ringwood - new location). Steve would also like to thank Australia's no. 1 bike mechanic (as voted by bike magazine readers) for all his help making sure Steve's bike is always ready to perform at its best (and handle the pounding it gets when Steve releases the fury). Thanks GUNSLE!

Well Done Monster!!!
I would like to point out that the bike in the picture in no way depicts the worn out piece of machinery that Monster actually rides.
Also I'd like to shed some light on where you stated 'taking a well deserved victory'. This is a bold statement. According to whom?
Were the 9 left at the last corner the same 9 who started the race? How many started were there?
Well done though lad, some big names in there. Seems they should rename it, Casey Monsters Fields of Victory.
The bold statement "taking a well deserved victory" is obviously according to whoever wrote that race report. They are obviously pretty observant/perceptive.
How else would the 9 left get to the last corner if they never started? The 9 left was from the more than 9 that started the race (we dropped at least 2 riders with all the attacking that was going on during the race).
Did you start the race with them?
Of course Steve started the race with them. The whole grade started together (as it always does). What the heck are you getting at man?
