Gunsle publicly apologizes to Monster

Gunsle would like to apologize for comments relating to Monsters overall height in terms of strands of integrity. Or some BS like that. I can't remember exactly.

These comments had no basis and were pure CoT Banter. Poor Monster must have given them some thought, which was already more than Gunsle had given them since he meant nothing by them.

I sincerely apologize for any heart ache caused.

Also for the record TheKillerAnt is NOT buying the 56cm Specialized Tarmac SL that was on show @ Le Tour yesterday with 172.5mm Carbon FACT Cranks. Which are claimed to be 25% Lighter than Dura-Ace and 20% Stiffer.
KillerAnt would not buy this frame for the following reasons.
  1. Cause he's truly a tight ass. By definition of a tight ass I mean somebody that stretches themselves to buy something and then is to scared to use it properly for fear of marking or damaging it. Going off this definition of
'Tight-Ass' Monster would be cleared of any tightassness since he has been proven to have bought top end items such as a COUPLE of Avanti Team Corsa bikes and then proceeded to crash the hell out of them whilst racing or training. TheKillerAnt wherefore has purchased expensive items such as Zipp 303 Carbon Fibre racing wheels and then never actually used them, purely kept them for bedroom photoshoots and other 'Desmond like' uses.
  2. Because he loves his Ghey Orange Orbea so much and he somewhat foolishly believes it to be the lightest fastest bike in the world. Besides torsional & BB stiffness is nothing. Vertical Compliance is EVERYTHING!
  3. Because if he did actually realise his potential on a bike perhaps he would realise he could benefit from such a 1337 bike but alas he does not.
  4. The Specialized Tarmac SL is a complete package. It would not be practical as a bike to ride ONLY up mountains. Driving in between such climbs in your car would seem to be a waste.
  5. Also not being Le Tours No.1 Rider he does not qualify to buy it. Money can't buy everything, Le Tour has pride and wouldn't support TheKillerAnts 'Desmond Like' buying patterns of buying bikes just to look @.

Monster ACCEPTS public apology!

Monster compliments GUNSLE on a quality CoT Blog Post - particularly point no. 1 regarding Ant "somebody that stretches themselves to buy something and then is too scared to use it properly for fear of marking or damaging it." That comment is MINT!!

Also the comment that "'Tight-Ass' Monster would be cleared of any tightassness since he has been proven to have bought top end items such as a COUPLE of Avanti Team Corsa bikes and then proceeded to crash the hell out of them whilst racing or training." This is true and a great observation by gunsle. I obviously underestimated gunsle's perceptiveness.

I love you guys. Can't wait to cop a slappin' of KillerN00b!

After his massage story I don't think you would want to cop a slapping either. Could end up fairly messy.

Gunsle said...

Yeah he might get all Bone, from all the physical contact.

Ok, ive copped that stick on the chin... (just like how andy and his 'cousin' give each other blowy's which result in chin mess) (oops, i wasnt supposed to let that out of the bag)

For the record, i must lay down some CoT facts.

1. Steve 'Monster' Martin is a HUGE tight arse -FACT-, as illustrated by his winter snow gloves instead of cycling gloves, baggy leg warmers that look more like tracksuit pants, $40 echowell bike computer, his entire budget wardrobe, his budget 'military' hair cuts, the tyres on his bikes that are ridden until they have completly perished, the FACT that he wears his chains out so badly (trying to save some money)that he wears his cassettes out and ends up with effectively campagnolo 8 and 9 speed clusters because it cannot hold certain gears, his worn out le tour clothing (an embarrassment)... i could go on, seriously

2. Timmy, u should know better than to compliment such BS. 'desmond like spending patterns'...nuff said there, any comparison to Desmond is the ultimate criticism and could lead to physical retaliation.

3. Gunsle, poor old gunsle, am i copping this abuse because...
a)im younger than you?
b)im fitter than you?
c)i can finish road tours this millenium?
d)i have been out on dates with a 19/20 year old stunner? (even if i got no love)
e)i can go out whenever i want?
f)im a better TTer than you?
(ok that was way off)
g)i dont live near steve martin

Having said all that, i think there is some truth in what Andy posted and therefor i have very hurt feelings and im leaving le tour now and not talking to a) andy, b) monster or c) timmy until i have been aplogised to.

Well Andy it looks like you can't give killer nub his massage now and get him a new position with Chubb. I have heard Chubb is recriuting..

F.A.C.T. Functionally Advanced Carbon Technology....

What the hell is KillerNub talking about carbon for?

Gunsle said...

Ant should know lots about carbon, his Orbea Orca is built on the D.A.C.T. System with Special V.C. Features.

D.A.C.T. = Dysfunctional. Anonymous. CrappyFibar. Things.

V.C. Vertical Compliance. (Cause seriously what else could be important?)

My orbea orca has been voted the best european frame for the last two years.
it is made from aerospace/formula 1 grade carbon fibre and is both stiff and compliant.
thats why its ridden by numerous pro tour teams, has a lifetime warranty, looks unreal, is light, and most of all WILL be rediculously fast once im back racing. ( i cant spell rediculous)
a big fuck you to anyone who dis's my bike cos its not as bottom bracket stiff as others. I weigh 70kgs when lean and fit and im not a muscular, powerful rider so its stiff enough for me.

What you believe that aerospace or formula 1 use different carbon fibre that bicycle manufacturers?

'My orbea orca has been voted the best european frame for the last two years.'?? Really thats a strange thing for a frame that is made in ASIA to win!

When I say made in ASIA I mean, why would a frame allegedly made in Spain and allegedly painted in Portugal. Come wrapped in bubble wrap with the frames color written on the bubble wrap in CHINESE? And the box say on the outside MADE IN CHINA with lots of chinese writing all over it. When I asked the Aussie distributors they said the bubble wrap was made in china and perhaps the box. 'That's funny' I said, 'How did they know what color frame they were going to put INTO the bubble wrap?' since the writing on the bubble wrap translated to Silver/Black and the frame was also Silver/Black.

Unfortunately other countries don't have the same strict policies on country of origin as Australia, in some countries the frame could be purely designed in or perhaps packed or the stickers added would be enough to claim that it was 'Made in Spain'. In Australia they require that a major % of the production be completed in Australia before it can be claimed that it was 'Made in Australia'.

i have pics on my home pc of orbeas being made and painted in spain by hairy spanish dudes...i dont have pics of orcas being built or painted but i do have aluminium ones being built/painted.
seems the only people that dis my frame, andy and des, are the ones riding US made crapers.
timmy rdes european and has respect for the orca.
